18338 would have fluted bezel and diamond lugs from the factory..

It could still be a legit factory diamond bezel, as the ADs back then were encouraged to “upsell” factory diamond bezels to be added.

I read it and tried to let it help me but no. Its not a "crown collection", it doesnt say rolex at the bottome of the dial, its an 18338 all yellow gold, and has diamond dial, bezel, and lugs. The watchsmith trying to sell to me said the bezel said rolex on it and that the bezel is factory. was it put on from the factory? i have no idea.

I believe this just has diamond lugs. The bezel should be fluted.

Just so I am certain we are clear, it could absolutely be a factory Rolex diamond bezel, but not original to that watch.

A factory day date of that era with diamond lugs *and* originally fitted with a diamond bezel would be a 18388.
