Got me a Lange 310.021

Most of my collection are vintage watches but once in a while a modern watch would come my way and blow me. That’s exactly what happened when a Lange & Sohne 310.021 Perpetual Calendar was offered to me. I just got to have it. After the emotional high, i just want to know now from Lange enthusiasts if i got a good deal. The watch is not mint and was used by the lady owner regularly. It comes with the box but she misplaced the certificate and is still looking for it. The leather strap is shot so i just got an alligator replacement until i can find an original one. It has 3 minor dings on the case that is not visible to the naked eye but can be seen using a loupe. I paid US$30k for it and would like to know if it’s a fair price considering that prices for Lange watches have gone down quite significantly, according to my friend from Philip’s?

I like how it looks but I don't follow Lange price. Maybe the word on the top right of the photo is a message from above to you.

Good price, that is a perpetual calendar, not an annual calendar.

Yes and it’s my first perpetual calendar watch. Still trying to learn how to use and adjust the complications.

My watchmaker said everything works. It’s the minor dings that bother me a little because it’s not a scratch that can be polished away.

If and when you decide to recondition it, Lange can laser-fill the dings and probably make it close to new.

for being old enough to have the button pusher, my first reaction was that it looked to be in great condition. i'm a biased owner, but in a world where steel royal oaks go for not much less, this seems like a no-brainer.

assume you got the manual, if not i can track mine down. just don't advance the date between 10pm and 2am.

That detail of having the date pusher all but guarantees that it is indeed a vintage watch being 20+ years old. Nice catch.

Great watch and a great price! If it's platinum, it's an even better price. Lange will make it like new. Congratulations!

So this watch is 20 years old? I thought it was maybe 10 years old. Never really did any due diligence cuz i know it’s still a new model with a complication movement.

Thanks for the link. So mine is before 2004 or a 20’year old watch already. Almost vintage.

I would do this now....peace of mind, also a new service. Will be good to go for the next 10 yrs vs looking at the dings for the next 10 yrs.

I'm killing myself cuz I wish I had it but on a lower financial scale, i bought a Seamaster 2220.80 from a private seller. I have a thread about it, I had it in my hands less than 6 hrs before I sent it off to Omega. Not Only i end up with peace of mind thats its all original, but the proper service will set it up for me for even more peace of mind. Not really killing myself, it will be a summer watch and its only 9 weeks tied up
