Purchasing a 5726 on strap / Do you know this AD?

So I have been lusting over the 5164A before discontinuation to buy it from grey market . Now its not feasible anymore .

Therefore went to 5726A where it seems like a good deal . barely 10-15k over retail for clean used piece .

Found one already with hair scratches and the certifcate stamped from watch town ! wondering where is this AD though?


Also id appreciate your takes on the model and the acceptable grey market price for a preowned or new piece as well .

And if there is any existing owners ? Im looking to use Rubber B strap .. Any reviews on this ?

Update: Just found out that watch town was the AD in syria . wondering when were they removed ? as the watch dated March 2021

the 5726 is an excellent piece. And yes the premium on this model in the secondary market is quite acceptable in the 10%-15% above retail. I personally like the wrist presence of the 5726 and 5980 on strap much more than something slimmer like the 5712 varients. If you've sourced one in excellent condition form a trusted seller for 10%-15% then go for it!

I can confirm it. Watchtown was in Damasco. It was still
Patek AD in the end of 2019 but I really don't know whent it lost it... sorry.

Most probably the have some stock which they sold later ?

Could be one of the last PPs every sold in Syria... the story of this watch would be really interesting. Maybe the owner fled the country with his remaining inventory and just told into the grey market in one of the adjacent countries.

Hi .. I am waiting for a new piece to arrive to Dubai Just to take a final call weather to go for 2024 new or 2021 used .. Diffrence is 10k USD

Sounds like a great deal either way. I look at Chrono24 and prices I see there are still significantly more than 10-15% above retail.

Just an update.. the purchase has been but on hold as I got a message from AP boutique today which was weird .. asking me if I am interested in the Code 11:59 ( Starwheel ) .

Yes, Watch Town is the AD is Syria. I have seen one or two watches with their stamp before. Not sure when they lost their dealership.

But if there was a civil war in Syria since 2011 and the AD continued to work and get allocation and manage to sell them as well….that is really very strange
