Icon5 GMT Batgirl any other buying options?

I live in Canada. Got one Daytona three years ago for my husband. Now am trying to buy a Batgirl for him as a birthday gift. But I know it's impossible to get one from AD, so are there any reliable sellers across Canada? not private seller, prefer store shopping.
Anyone has any suggestions?
Much appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!

Well there is no such thing as a batgirl only in internet land,so if you asked your AD for a Rolex 126710BLNR then perhaps you might stand a chance.

Considering that when you use these titles for Rolex watches on the Rolex site itself and the watches show up during the search, I’d say their names are fairly legitimate.

Lol, I never realized that. Just checked, googled "Rolex Batgirl" and first hit was the Rolex website with a photo of the 126710BLNR on Jubilee. Batgirl it is!

Edit: Also tried Batman, Starbucks and even Sprite! All worked.

When trying to acquire mine I always called it BLNR on Jubilee. But my SA would always come back and say you want the Batgirl right?

Most of the non-AD sellers are mostly online operations.

You have impeccable, taste, and your husband will love the BLNR on Jubilee. It’s a tough watch to score. I highly recommend our private sellers here on the forum as they are use to catering to very picky enthusiast.

They have been selling quick and I see Than and Chase are out but I see Patrick has one in stock as of today.

With the USD remaining strong against the CAD, there remains an arbitrage opportunity. I suspect most of the decent Rolexes ‘sold’ in Canada are heading south to Miami.

At this point, even Rolex has accepted it.

We might as well just admit defeat.

I call them both Batties.

Your husband will definitely appreciate this! Any of the trusted sellers on TRF will ship to Canada. However, as noted above, the exchange rate might not be in your favor.

that's why you are not an SA. He obviously knew the OP was referring to the BLNR when it was mentioned "batgirl".

Being practical, if Rolex were to sell only to individuals familiar with reference numbers, sales would likely plummet from ~1 million to a significantly lower figure. Nicknames facilitate quick and effortless identification of models, making watches more approachable and engaging for enthusiasts.

Regardless of Rolex, or TRF, stance on the matter, these nicknames have become a fundamental aspect of Rolex branding and zeitgeist. The fact that you can now search on the Rolex website using nicknames completely legitimizes them.

However, it's important to note that these nicknames serve merely as guides to direct you to the correct model; the official naming of the models does not include these nicknames.

Well even before these silly nicknames 20 plus years ago Rolex was selling well over 1 million watches a year,so in today's Rolex world with these nicknames they sell now around 900000 or less each year.

Love your consistency Padi with the nicknames, I know when a thread contains one of the names you’ll be on there ..

But that being said, Pepsi has remained the same throughout its history, but Batman and Batgirl get their own twist, as does Kermit, Cermit, Starbucks, along with Smurf and Cookie Monster ..
