Does pointy 4 exist on F0**** 16610

Hey guys,

I am looking at a really nice minty 16610 from 2003 (F0****) serial.

The only thing that jumps at me is that the bezel has a pointy 4 and not a flat 4 font. Do these exist from 2003?

Thank you for the help.

I mean, I see mixed things on the internet and can't exactly tell. The watch looks absolutely mint and the green hologram is still intact nicely and cleanly. Hard to say.

F0…. serial should have a flat 4. However, it’s possible that a pointy 4 bezel was put on the watch when it left Rolex. Only pointy 4 Kermit’s I’ve seen with an F0…. serial had the bezel replaced at service.

The watch looks pristine as described and I am trying to understand if it is a possible case that it actually left Rolex’s factory with this bezel being F0… Thank you for the input.

Plenty of questions here.

Is this being sold as never-worn?

Many, many watches are prepped for sale with a good cleaning, new stickers, and new cosmetic parts.

To find a 20+ year old Sub Date that has never been worn or serviced is a rare find.

Flat 4, pointy 4; makes no difference to value unless it's a 16610LV.

Bezel inserts get changed often. If you want pointy (or flat) simply buy a replacement insert.

This is not marketed as never worn or NOS but as barely worn close to new with the back sticker still intact. It looks quite close to what it is described as. I am puzzled by the bezel though. Thanks

I mean, it does not matter to me. I am looking for a watch in a good condition that in the configuration of when it left the factory. I insist on buying watches in this particular condition. Thank you

First F serials ran from mid September 2003 well into 2005 and makes no difference whatever font is on the bezel insert.

Thanks. To your understanding, it could have left the factory with a pointy 4 bezel?
