Silver Snoopy Speedy Discontinued?
Hi All,
I got the attached email today. Does this mean they have officially discontinued the 50th Anniversary Silver Snoopy? |

I received the exact same email today and was about to create a thread to ask the same question. I finally decided to purchase one NIB from a reputable grey dealer in January as I knew I would never get one allocated from my AD. Now I'm glad I did.

I got it too. Shoot! I was ready to get one. They "promised" that it wouldn't be a limited run! I shouldn't have waited...

I was informed on this months back, doesn’t surprise me they decided to pull the plug end of first quarter. I was on the list when it was first announced, & got the call last year on St Patty’s day Friday. I’m curious what the 55th anniversary will look like.

Exactly why I went grey in January, as I had heard the same. There was no way I was going to get one from my AD so this was the only way I was going to get one.

Fratello's Instagram page is saying not to believe the rumors it's discontinued. Seems like a trusted source to me.

Hmm prices on grey aren’t reflecting yet, probably this news hasn’t reached the masses.. this piece should skyrocket in value once the public knows about it

May still be in production for now, but it's only a matter of time. I believe Omega sent out the email to those of us who expressed interest in the watch online as production is nearing the end of its lifespan. I find it very hard to believe that someone at Omega HQ "accidentally" sent out this email to all those who expressed interest. I could be wrong, but my opinion for what it is worth.

I believe fratello that it isn't discontinued as of right now. But it's inevitable that it will get discontinued, they won't be making it for another 5 years that's for sure. Sent from my SM-S916W using Tapatalk |

you don't prepare such emails if its not happening and OMEGA HQ will never admit that it's discontinuing before the scheduled date of the announcement new games OMEGA is playing |

I'm losing more and more respect for Fratello when it comes to Omega.
On the one hand he says don't believe "nonsense rumours" about the discontinuation, and on the other he acknowledges an email was sent out stating the watch was discontinued!!! Oh well, "journalists" .nic |

Yes and no. Could you purchase it online, no. But when it was first released there was a button you could select on their website to register your name and be put on a "list". Omega was to then notify you when your name came up to purchase it (note, this button went away after a short period of time). I registered my name, but like everyone else, never got the call. I believe this latest email was sent to all of those that registered their interest online.

Will be interesting to see where the price goes, especially knowing there will be a snoopy watch every few years.

My take is the only reason for the Fratello assist today is that there remains a small amount of buyers that paid in full for the watch with the commitment of obtaining it and those watches are being produced until that list of buyers is cleared. This isn't a watch anyone can buy at this point from a boutique or AD if they ask for it today.

Not exactly like popcorn…..
The first Omega Snoopy (2003) was limited to 5,441 pieces while the White Snoopy (2015) was limited to only 1,970 pieces. The current Silver Snoopy debuted in 2020 and is not a limited edition. |
