Rolex Rose Gold

I Have a 1996 ladies rolex datejust that was sold to me as 18K yellow gold, it does however look a lot more rose gold than other 18k yellow gold rolexes. Did Rolex make rose gold date justs in 1996 ?

Edit: welcome aboard

Older yellow gold watches have a tendency to age to a “coppery / orangish” color … could this be the case with yours ?

I believe you are right and rose gold was added first in 2005.

I have seen vintage rolex rose gold watches so most likely prior to '96.
