Is this 7835 bracelet genuine?
Hi all,
Helping a friend out with a 6694 he inherited from his father. The watch itself is good and is on its way for service. However the bracelet itself it a bit peculiar, with both 60 and 357-endlinks. The clasp has no date marking, but an "A". Theres also no "7835-19" on the last link. My theory is that the last link was removed to make room for a hackjob-repair with a "60"-endlink. I have seen clasps without date, but strange that its missing the model nr. However a very unlikely candidate to replicate i would guess. ![]() ![]() |

.
I think you have it figured out. The missing 7835 / 19 last link is missing. Thus a change in sections is also possible, cobbled up. The mismatch of the end links, as you mention, was cobbled up = two different end links. The A on the clasp denotes 1976. Any other concerns?! |

Thanks for a very quick reply! The watches serial dates it to about 1976, so that makes sense

All things considered, I would probably replace it rather than try to do a restoration. Or maybe just use the clasp.
