Date Just 41

Just sold my Yacht Master so ready to buy date just 41 jubilee. Trying to decide on Blue stick or blue roman dial. I like the darker blue color but I like the Roman numerals more than the stick. Put my name on “list” at AD probably won’t get a call for a while but just can’t justify paying 2-3k over retail for a date just

yep, personal taste. I personally do not like roman numerals.

I may be the only person that doesn't like the Wimbledon dial

Not a fan of romans, prefer sticks for DJ. Funnily enough, I feel the opposite when it comes to the Day Date.

I love the Roman, but went with the stick dial just because of the lume. Also the romans dress it up quite a bit, which is fine but just something to point out.

One of the most unbalanced and messy dials in the catalogue.

I think they look good on some of the 36's.

I agree. Wanted to like it but when it is on, its just meh.
It is the stick at 9 o clock that ruins it for me.

Slate / Rhodium looks far cleaner.

But i know most disagree.

I would recommend to look at both the blue dials before buying. The blue dial with roman is darker shade of blue and it is hard to read. I have both and prefer the sticks on the blue dial DJ.

I prefer the stick dial. Cleaner look and easier to read. Lume is also a bonus

Sticks get my vote. Lume is well worth it and I think it looks better but thats my preference. Much prefer it on jubilee, so good call there. Hope you get the call soon!

Great thread and great looking DJs!

Own both sticks and Romans. I lean a little towards Romans as they are a bit different, but it is really personal choice. No wrong answer.

You can’t go wrong with either one, we just picked this up this weekend for my wife’s bday she’s wanted this for a while now. It is absolutely beautiful, the only complaint for me is no lume but it’s not mine. That really didn’t matter to her, she loves it. Readability is not an issue in my opinion day or night it’s simple and easy to read unless you’re in the dark. lol

Nice! Here is a similar DJ41. One of my favorites in the collection.

The OP wasn't talking about the Wimbledon dial. The blue dial with Roman numbers.

To the OP... it took my AD to get my DJ41 blue/oyster 4 weeks to have it for me back January. Good luck!

On the DJ41, I prefer the stick markers. Are you set on the blue dial? Blue dials are a dime a dozen. The slate is worth considering. I picked the slate dial

Batons all the way. I've owned both blue (DJII) and slate (DJ41) and you can't go wrong with either of them.

I find the blue is a bit more sporty and the slate is a little more dressy.

But regardless of the color I like the sticks. I think they look better and L U M E

I prefer lume on a watch, so Wimbledon dial (if it has to be with roman) or better stick dial.

I much prefer sticks due to aesthetics and the nighttime lume.
If I were in the market for a DJ it would be a tough decision between slate, blue and possibly the mint.
