Incoming jumbo RD3

AP has been very nice to me in the last years with both the jumbo platinum green and WG salmon. Couldn’t decline this beauty when they offered it to me.

If the WR was better than 50m, it could have a claim for the ultimate luxury sports watch. Patek never made a complicated Nautilus in steel or a PM one with a higher complication than QP. And the overseas tourbillon is just too big to qualify imo.

Very happy to add this RD3 to my collection. Amazing how thin it is and how comfortable it wears.

The interesting complication of RD3 is that it's one of the thinnest watches with a "full rotor" tourbillon. BIG Congrats!

The RD3 (both 37mm and 39mm) is an exquisite achievement by AP, and very much underrated. If I had the money, RD3 would be the first place I look at.

Congrats. Haute horology stuff!

Congrats! That is a heck of a piece. Where it in good health.

Interesting observation by you...seeming to be of the opinion that the tourbillion is a higher complication than QP.

Interesting discussion in general as in house automatic chronographs seemed to be one of the last movements to be widely developed. I wonder if that would in fact be a higher complication than QP?

A fine beauty, any chance of a vid to see that tourbillon fly a bit?

The one complaint I have heard about the Jumbo is that without a second dial, there is not movement on the face of the watch. This fixes that issue.

Congrats! Truly incredible. Need pics of the 15202bc and 15202pt too, quite the trifecta you have.
