Question on my new duo
My expl.36 has parted to make way for the new Sub.41 LV. It’s amazing! On the other end, my YM40 blue dial IMO can perfectly serve as the dressy companion.
A good friend of mine has the same with the slate dial but he feels that the blue is better for him. He is asking to exchange it at zero cost. I like the blue because of the contrast but slate is also nice so I am on the fence. Should I keep mine or make the exchange? What do you think? Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Prefer the blue dial. It is beautiful. The gray dial is more monochromatic unless you are wanting that look.

Slate if using it for more dressy, blue for more sports….
However, always the one you prefer because most people don’t care. |

I like them about equally really. Both really cool watches. If I absolutely had to choose though I would probably go slate. That darker grey tone with a touch of turquoise/baby blue is just a really cool touch.
Sounds like you indeed like the blue more however. So I’d keep it I think.

I'd keep the blue one but I do like the grey with tiffany blue hand too, would be a hard decision but i think the dark blue would do it best for me..

They are both beautiful watches and there is not really a wrong choice.
I like both colors, but I chose the blue. |

Question on my new duo
I’m kind of fatigued of blue dials after they were ubiquitous for so long before this green dial run, BUT, between these two, I’d definitely stick with the YM blue dial. That’s a really nice blue dial and works perfectly on that watch. The slate is nice too, but the blue works better here imo.
Stay put. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Just bought a brand new Slate dial this last week. Its amazing in person. I already have 2 blue dials, so that fact did go into my choice, as I love blue. But I'm very happy with the slate.

Given the sub has a dark dial, and so does the YM, I'd say slate gives more contract/diversity into your collection.
I have the slate and love the fact it's monochromatic. I have quite a few watches and often try and get them to somewhat match with my clothes and feel that the slate gives the most diversity. I like blue dialled watches but never took to the YM. My vote is slate, it's such a subtle, slightly dressy watch. that said, I'd want the swap to be equal in terms of age/service etc and if it wasn't I'd expect some cash. |
