Happy Sunday watch fam

Im a place currently where I have been able to acquire every piece I have asked for. I feel like I maybe at a stalemate, with trying to decide what I want next.

I’d like you folks to provide some candid input on what YOU would get next if this was your collection.

What I have currently

Just use your own brain in whatever watch you want to buy next.

Well your collection is all Rolex and all divers.

You could try another brand or you could stick with Rolex and add a GMT or a chronograph complication.

Your done. Now enjoy what you have and make some memories with them unless your attraction is really buying watches. The later is a dangerous and never ending journey that has very little to do with the watches themselves. Find contentment with the right watch is the gold standard.


I personally let a watch call to me over a series of months. My then my tactic is to forget about it and see if it still calls to me after another few months. If after a year or so a particular watch is still calling to me then I analytically think how and when I will use it and does it add or take away from any other watches in my collection. This longer process eliminates FOMO and impulse buys.

Enjoy the watches you already have.
Your approach seems somewhat compulsive. When you’ll able to make your choice on your own, it'll mean you've thought carefully about whether you really need a watch and which model will suit your needs.

What great advice Mystro, and great restraint too.

I can’t say that I have followed such logical steps myself but I have mostly always delayed purchases to make sure that I was buying for the right reasons.

OP buy only what you want which based on your current collection seems to be drive watches. You have more Rolex options to continue in this trend, or you could branch out to drivers from other brands or to other types of watches all together.

I've said to myself that I'm not going to acquire anything else for quite some time now.

There are watches I want, however I just want to truly appreciate the watches I have, rather than just being on a mission to chase the next one.

Was it F.P. Journe who once said something along the lines of "nothing extinguishes the excitement of a new watch more than actually getting it"

Your collection doesn't scream that it's missing anything to me OP, just enjoy them
