15300ST thoughts?

Anyone has any thoughts/recommendations on purchasing a pre-owned 15300ST?

I tend to be more hesitant (maybe irrationally) when looking at "older" watches and especially given that this model is discontinued, it inevitably will be a watch that is more than 10 years old.

Wondering if anyone recently purchased one and regretted their choice or chose a newer model instead? The 15300 is obviously the achievable 39mm (vs Jumbo) but would love to hear a buyer's thought process.

Assuming it has proper provenance and service record with AP of course.

The 15300 and 26120 (dual time) are the besting fitting royal oaks at 39mm. I also like the 15300 better than the jumbo because it has a second hand and quick set date.

Personally, I don't quite fancy the 15300. At 39mm, it's the perfect size for most. But it's proportion is out, unlike the Jumbo with it's ultra thin thickness. Without the ultra thin thickness, I'll rather go 41mm.

You really can't beat a 15300, I have one in rose gold (on strap) and it is fantastic. Sadly the 41mm models do not compare for those with a smaller wrist and as you know AP does not make a 39mm version other than the Jumbo.

The 37mm is also a nice option, but if I was going pre-owned the 15300 would be my choice

To be fair the 26120 while it is an amazing watch, does not have in house movement and is quite thicker than the 15300. Nothing wrong with it, and still a fabulous watch, but the 15300 might be the goldilocks of the RO line (of all time)
