Are 16800 and 16803 hands interchangeable?

I know the gold hands don't go on 16800s but I found an eBay listing of 16803 "Silver Hands":

Sorry i can't post links but the ebay item number is 135041465686 while the title is Original Vintage Silver Rolex Submariner 16803 Three Hand Set

Can i install them on my 16800 circa 1985? My 16800 is so close to perfection while just the second hand is a service part.

Thanks in advance

They’ll fit, same movement.

.
Obviously those silver hands (or white gold) are not for a 16803. Listed here:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/135041465686

You are going on the premise that the Rolex bag containing the hands identifies the content correct. The Rolex bag is coded 13-16803/810, which is an indication of a 16803 dial (not hands). So these hands "are out of place" there, mismatch baggie.

There are plenty of "silver hand" examples on Ebay at around $300.

I do not think the hour hand looks correct for your movement - but the pics are poor.

Good Luck

Installing hands from a Rolex model that is slightly different from your own can be a tricky matter, especially with vintage watches where authenticity and originality are highly valued.
