Tudor Pink Chrono - Long Term Availability?

Has anyone heard anything credible from their ADs on the long term availability of the Tudor Pink Chrono?

When it was first announced, it was apparently going to be very limited:
"it will have a limited production and be made in small numbers" - Hodinkee
"few of them will ever be made" - Tudor

Now it seems like A LOT were made and are still being made. Has any heard anything from their AD if they are expecting more or perhaps will be as common as the current Tudor Chronos are now?

Other day in Hawaii was told they were taking “applications” for them. Said they wanted people who had bought other Tudors. It is cool looking. Kinda hope they come out with a Black Bay 58 in same color.

I'm afraid I have no insight into availability beyond anecdotes.

But I tried one on and immediately asked to buy it. It's a neat watch -- it made me smile just to hold it. But the idea of more Kabuki theater with a dealer... I'm just not up for it. I'd like to hand over a pile of my money and receive a Tudor.

Hopefully we get to that point.

An acquaintance recently bought one as a walk-in at a FL dealer, so that's a reason for some hope.

The dealer I spoke with told me they had no idea how many they were going to receive. I'm sorry I'm not being more helpful. It's a fun watch and if it becomes possible to buy one in a fun -- or at least pleasant -- way (walking into a dealer and exiting with a watch), we're all in luck.

It’s on every Tudor website around the world with a price…it will be available.
I happened to be in Vegas when it was announced and the Tudor Boutique told me they’d heard nothing but rumor and innuendo at that point.
Last week I stopped in at my local Tudor AD to inquire. They said nothing about it being limited. They had already sold one and expected them to start trickling in at first and be readily available within six months. My SA thought I was probably the third person to ask for one and seemed pretty certain she could fulfill my request.
I’ve been buying and following Tudor for almost 30 years, I have never seen a truly limited edition.

My understanding with the pink chrono - which I had from good authority ahead of launch - was that a small batch would be released at first only to VIPs, followed by a slightly broader run available to the general public. That run would last roughly a year, after which it would be discontinued.

Ultimately, a general launch was always on the cards, albeit it's only for a limited amount of time. If you want the watch, in all likelihood you'll be able to secure one in the next few months if you get your request in soon.

People will get burned badly with this watch

The same way they did with the Harrods Black Bay.

Tudors do not do the rare thing very well at all. Let's not forget, this is a collab with a football team. If the watch world wasn't commercialised enough as it is, this is commercialism in its purest form.
Demand for this watch going forward will be super low, and they'll barely command a premium over retail in time. Watch this space.

Was talking to my AD (UK Based non-chain) and they said originally they were told 6 in total were coming to the UK (and they wouldn't get one), then currently they have been told 150 for the UK and they would get one. AD said they have no idea if more will be released beyond that but wouldn't be surprised if they are so I wouldn't be counting on this remaining super rare ... so my advice is try for one if you like it but don't be counting on it turning a profit!

I'm honestly surprised by the overall positive reception this pink-dialed watch has received, I figured it would bomb, looks hideous to me.

They must have released a bunch at the same time to most ADs the last few weeks. They went from trading at 13-14 to 10k in a week or two. Still a nice premium but I think they know they are on a winner - look great in person - and will keep supplying but I do not know anything official

I would say you wouldn't pick one as your first higher end watch but if you had a couple and could afford to pick one up for weekends it's great

I can relate. It’s the current hype de jour that everyone wants to be seen with, but ultimately it will be a decent midrange chrono with a pink dial.
I like bright dials, have green and red OP41s, and wear them for all activities. I have asked for one and will wear it in the rotation if I get it. I believe they will be in the case within six months. Tudor will make as many as they can sell.

Doubt Tudor leaves money on the table like that. Suspect it'll become a regular fixture in their line up but they won't increase production to meet short/medium term demand hype.

Most dismissed it until the allure of it being "rare" spread.

Big part in that played by Tudor as well, with their release posts stating "we won't be making many of these!"

Harrods Black Bay all over again.

Good luck if you bought this watch at a chunky premium....

I highly doubt even the ADs know the long term availability.

As if Tudor / Rolex actually share anything of note with ADs anyway, their business strategies are their business, not the AD networks.

I am enjoying watching the prices tumble down. I do want one and will either get it through my AD, if possible, or secondary when the prices get to where they are acceptable.

Thanks for all the input. Sounds like Tudor planned on a small batch, demand exploded, and they couldn’t help themselves when an opportunity to make more money existed. Even if it resulted in damaging their brand by misleading collectors. I’ll sit this one out and wait for MSRP.

My AD has Rolex, Tudor, PP, Cartier, and Tag. He is a pretty big deal in the South said he is getting one pink this year. I was non-committal. I need to see it. I will buy a Rolex or Patek sight unseen, but not much else. Probably nonsense but it is all part of the game and I don't mind the game at all. I might really like it, but I have a black Daytona that I love so I am kind of set.
