New: Blue Tudor Black Bay Chronograph

Just saw this release on Tudors instagram page. Says they’re available exclusively at Tudor Boutiques.

Thanks for sharing, looks awesome. The only thing that holds me back is the thickness

That looks awesome! If I hadn't gotten over my thing for Chronos I would be running out and trying to get one. Now it would just bug me to have a movement with complications that I would never use.

Not saying it’s all about the money, but at about a third the cost of a Daytona.

I really like this piece. I would just have liked them to decrease the size.

Just saw this as well. So will this be rarer than the pink one?

It looks nicer than the pink one (IMO), unfortunately it’s only available at Tudor exclusive boutique on some countries.

For those wondering:
  • €5,720
  • 41 mm diameter
  • 22 mm lug width (don't know L2L)
  • 14.4 mm thick (on paper at least, not too bad)
  • Power reserve of 70 hours
  • Water resistant to 200 m
  • Aluminum insert
  • "T-fit" clasp
  • 316L stainless steel

Looks quite good. Anyone notice the red tip second hand and red text on dial. Nice colors on this one. Also the five link band. This will be a winner!

Looks very nice... I am interested in picking up a Tudor.
Anyone know if you can walk into a boutique and buy one? or are these going to be treated like the pink one?

Yes, pretty good!

I just found the lug-to-lug measurement: 49.8 mm. This might be a tad long for some wrists, but, hey, there is no rule that all watches have to fit all wrists!

Yet another very nice watch from Tudor.

Fortunately not quite enough to tease my credit card out…

Looks terrific! I would have to get over my aversion to screw down pushers. But other than that it's a winner

That's a really nice colorway and Tudor's "5 link" (Jubilee) with the T Fit clasp is impressive on any watch they have matched it with

...but I have to say I wish Tudor would have put standard hands on this one. I don't have a problem with snowflake hands in general, but on this model the hour hand winds up obscuring the subdials more than it needs too. A regular hour hand, like a Speedy, would work so much better here.

Icon7 It appears that the legibility issue continues...

It's been nearly a decade with the current chronograph design and it appears that the legibility issue continues where the chronograph utility is concerned. It would make a lot of sense if Tudor could revert to their more chronograph suitable stick hands of their big block chronograph model days or some form of hour hand that doesn't obscure either of the subdials so significantly during timing.

Like many others above said, its too thick / is thick. The thing just seems bloated to me. I wonder how many of these releases we see before they give us smaller proportions.
