nowthat the matte dialed triple 6 has skyrocketed

in price the obvious next candidate for the mad rush to secure the "future" collectible is the matte dialed 16800 submariner..I have been saying this for a while now but it hasnt been until recently that the matte dialed seadweller has been soaring to ever higher prices,so much so that many of the mid-level collectors have a hard time justifying that kind of expense, hence the matte sub will take its rightful place as the watch to have..
so in honor of this comming of age of the 16800 why dont we show some of the ones in our collections right now..
heres one I just picked up..look at the gorgeous patina on this beauty!

Hi Steve, My 16800 seems to have a matte dial, but WG markers! Some would suggest that it is a gloss gone bad, but it is definately matte. (there are some age marks though) I don't know if that marks less collectable than a standard maatte one, I guess so, but I still like it.

Not to go OT on this, but what have matte dial 16660s skyrocketed to (and what were they going for X amount of time ago)? Let's assume solid condition with all the goodies (i.e. original box, booklets and guarantee paperwork).

Thanks!

And how it looked driving to work this morning:

Though not a four digit, I really love my 16800. Just as much as my 1680, 1655 and 1665 MK I.
