Two recent experiences with Dallas RWSC. I shipped myself by Certified mail. It took one week for arrival, the 126622 was under warranty and needed rate regulation, back to me two weeks after arrival. My 116718 took two weeks to get to Dallas (I did get a little nervous but could see it moving through the USPS tracker). Full clean, oil and adjust, no polish, and also two weeks until I got it back. Very quick turnaround times.

Unfortunately, the "I don't want any polish or dial/hand work" is not going to fly when you send it to an RSC. They're totally disinterested in the vintage character of the watch. If the last record of Rolex servicing the watch is 2002, then you're going to get an estimate to do an overhaul on the watch no matter what. Even if the watch was overhauled last week by an independent watchmaker, they don't care - their records say 2002. Furthermore, whatever they deem to need replacement is exactly what you will do, or they will just send the watch back to you if you decline any portion of their estimate that they deem essential.

Maybe you get a different experience, but I've not heard of RSC not restoring the watch to factory condition, which always includes case and bracelet polish and replacing any part (including dials) they want changed.

This is why people choose to go to independent watchmakers with Rolex parts accounts to give you exactly the concierge service you are wanting.

Definitely. Please do.

You can request no polish. It reduced the bill by $150.

That's great, because my experience was just the opposite. Granted it was a few years ago, but it seems like this varies because I have heard many experiences like mine and a few like yours. I stated I did not want a polish and they kindly refused to do the service by saying that removing the scratches and dings from the case was integral to the overhaul and factory service of the watch.

I told them to send me the watch back, and they did.

I will! And thank you for taking the time to reply, your info is great and I'm so reassured to hear that they should be able to work on the watch! More to follow...
