Recent RSC Turn Around times?

Hi All-
I was wondering if anyone knows the turn-around time for the RSC on warranty work lately? I brought my BLRO in right about Thanksgiving, so almost exactly 2 months ago.

The AD says Rolex doesn't communicate with them at all, and they only know that warranty work is complete when the watch shows up in the mail. Unfortunately the 'lead' sales associate for Rolex (its a corporate jewelry store) left, so the replacement doesn't have any real Rolex experience, so doesn't really know (and couldn't tell me which RSC, though I'm in the Pac-NW, so I presume whichever is closest).

SO, I was wondering if anyone had recent experience and could share your timeframes?

My DSSD JC went to Dallas in early November and came back just before Christmas. Much quicker turnaround than I expected.

I dropped off a 16710 for a full service around the same time (NYC RSC) the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. It took exactly 3 weeks for it to be ready for pickup.

About 1 month from most reports.

Hmmm... I'll be at 2 months tomorrow, so it seems they are taking their time with mine! Nice to know it should be 'soon' at least.

It's tough to say exactly how long it takes for Rolex warranty work, but it can vary greatly depending on the repair and the RSC location.

Do you have actual confirmation on what date your AD shipped the watch to Rolex?

Also, what is the defect that requires servicing?

My understanding is it was mailed immediately. I gave it to them 11/26.

Over the course of a week, it went from almost perfect time wise to about a minute slow per day, 15s the first day, closer to 30 the second, and 45s by the forth day.

Ingot lucky in that the warranty expired in December, so I got it in right before that.

Well. You bought it in right after Thanksgiving. There was probably a backlog as a result of the holiday. Then you go into Christmas, another backlog. You'll probably get the watch back any day now I would guess.

That's my hope :) I am more just hoping to have a reasonable expectation. I don't doubt the two holidays didn't help, but knowing I'm "close" rather than "just starting the wait!" Is nice to know.

I’ve had two watches serviced (regular full service), in recent months and they both came back in 3 weeks

So I called in for details-

Apparently it was sent to a Seattle Service Center, though perhaps one associated with Ben Bridge.

Shipped out Dec 3, so about a week after I handed it to them (Nov 26).

He said service usually doesn't get back to authorize cost until 4 weeks, but since this is warranty it skips that. Otherwise all he can see is that it is at the Seattle service center.

THOUGH he did say it can be up to 6 months to get the watch back! I'm very much hoping that isn't the case.

Yep - not a Rolex Service Center - but a Ben Bridge center that services Rolexes.

For routine service it may not matter horologically -

5 digit sub full service was back on my wrist in 3 weeks.
This was in November/December of last year.

This is why it’s always best to send it yourself directly to the RSC, not an “authorized service center”.

I think sending yourself to RSC is the best option.
