ChatGPT's current flagship model is o3. In May they will unify o3 model with GPT and call it GPT 5.

Yes, lots of credible people say we’ll never achieve AGI.

On the other hand, lots of credible people think AGI is inevitable and we’ll achieve it in as little as a year.

I’m not convinced either way. A couple weeks ago, I thought for sure it would be achieved. But after listening to what some industry insiders have recently said, I’m beginning to have doubts.

Either way, we’re going to see a lot more progress. And whether or not we ever achieve true AGI might end up being a moot point. It might not be a meaningful metric in the future.

I now use ChatGPT enterprise 3-5x a week for work depending on what I’m doing. It’s helpful at some tasks and poor at other ones. For the right type of tasks it’s definitely a productivity enhancer.

If you want to do any sort of research, ChatGPT or Grok is the way to go.

It’s getting to the point where Google is only good for shopping or finding a good restaurant.

I agree.

Since they now scrape the web and provide sources it means less checking if you want a TLDR summary of something.

They’re getting better all the time.

Having just spent a couple of days in bed with a really rotten, chesty cold/cough, I really hope AI comes up with a cure or at least an effective remedy.

I wonder if 'big Pharma' would allow it....
So much profit in the drug store, cold/'flu snake oil remedy business.
