Well the response on this thread didn't really match the expectations of Todor fans ... but yea I use my Tudor as a beater and a travel watch to unfamiliar territories , i bought it for that reason itself but not really liking it more or less over the years... Its a great value proposition swiss watch.

I have enjoyed and continue to enjoy the modern Tudors. Childish to suggest they are made to be inferior to Rolex on purpose. They do though have to set themselves apart from Rolex. My personal favorites are the BB58 and FXD series and the new Monochrome.

Has anyone grown to appreciate Tudor more and more over time?
Yes Last March I wanted to buy an Explorer I. I was not going to dance through hoops or pay a premium so I wound up buying a Ranger. I couldn’t be happier. It hasn’t been off my wrist since I bought it.

Although I responded above, this thread needs more pics…and it inspired me to bust out this one today for the first time in ages.

Massive fan of vintage Tudors but just couldn't get on with the Black Bay range and wasn't sold on the Pelagos. One day, I found myself sitting and thinking what my perfect fantasy watch would be and I came to the conclusion it was a MilSub 5517 cased Snowflake of sorts, full 60min insert, etc. Then I realised that the modern version of that is basically the black FXD, got offered a fantastic deal at an AD that was closing their concession, bought it and... absolutely love it!!!

There are certain Tudors that I like specifically the BB58 & the Big Block chronograph.

I really love what Tudor is doing these days. I purchased two (GMT with the Opaline dial, and the blue chrono) and they get the majority of my wrist time.

I haven't bought in on Tudor designs yet. The designs don't appeal to me- including the bracelets. The hands are very wide. I'd probably go Omega and Grand Seiko over Tudor in the price range.
