I would think that a Rolex has been at the summit of Mount Everest many times. I know Ed Visteurs (the best American Mountaineer ever) is sponsored by Rolex and wears an Explorer II on his expedition. He climbed to the summit of Everst 7 times, and also to the summit of each of the 8,000ers (the only American to do so), although he summitted several 8,000ers before getting sponsored by Rolex, so I don't think he took the Explorer II on all his summit bids. ![]() His story is pretty amazing, I've read all his books and they are awesome. If you want to learn more about this guy but hate reading, check out this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WqTcD9Amfq4 |

How does the Everest strap compare to the Rubber B? Anyone have both? I've got a Rubber B on my new Explorer II polar, the strap has the orange pin stripe accent which really pops with the dial on the new 42 mm Explorer II.

Here's a new old stock Everest strap on my platinum YM. This was the last grey strap Everest had for the YM. CHEERS Jim.
