Tourbillion Chicago - Closed Down

I walk by daily on my way to work and noticed they are closed for good. No sale, just sending their stock to the other 6 locations. I'm curious, this store was opened in 2012, what is causing the lack of sales to close the store. Is it a sign of the overall watch market here in the US. Or, Is it just much harder to sell luxury time pieces in the Midwest, even on MI Ave?

Tourbillon Wall Street closed too but a couple years ago. Got two Omega from them. Nice people. Always a bit sad when that happens.

I visited Tourbillon in SF a few years ago. I chatted with the manager for a bit. Very nice guy.

Tourbillion Houston closed a few months ago. Couldn't have happened to a better group of people or company. They were terrible, arrogant, uninformed, high priced.

I think these stores are closing because if near a Rolex boutique they lose Rolex. It's hard to sell enough of the other brands to stay in business.

These are all owned by Swatch Group (and only carry their brands--none of which are doing well). They are tanking as a company and would only expect them to close their stores.
