Homemade Lightbox - first attempt
My "first" attempt at a homemade lightbox. Made it out of cardboard box. Cut the sides off and replaced with regular printing paper.
Light was from a floor lamp that was placed on the top left. ISO100, F11, 6sec ![]() Light was from Flash from direct right. ISO100, F11, 1/60sec ![]() Which one do you like? ![]() |

Looks very good, do you have a way to dim the light?

Thanks for the comments!
David, I used one of the regular floor lamps that has a translucent shade. Acted as a diffuser so the light distributed evenly. Both shots were edited in Lightroom later to my liking. ![]() |

I use a large white plastic garbage can. Place your subject inside the can and the light source on the outside so the can acts as a diffuser. Works like a charm.

For additional inspiration, can you show us pictures of your lightbox setup?

NICE!
Add white balance to the mix and you'll really capture the metallic colors.
