One of my favorite watches. I’m in the process of buying one. I have all gold and SS models but something about this particular combination of things really gets to me. Plus Gerardus helped steer me in this direction while looking at TT Subs in general!

Btw, just my opinion but TT Rolex in general are kind of getting more popular.

I’ve noticed this too, especially the TT Daytonas seem to cost more in the second hand marketplace.

Two tone Rolex are more bling than full gold?!

Such a great looking watch, in this picture, the dial almost looks brown... I wonder if they will come out with a brown dial rootbeer?

Thank you for the pictures sir!

Thank you

Same here. Not buying the more contrast thing. Full gold still has PCL... Surrounded by gold. No contest Imo.

I think you may be in denial. Honestly I find it hard to even see the PCL on full yellow gold pieces. It blends in with the brushed and even more so once it has a few scratches.

I like the contrast of steel and gold. All gold is too much for me except on a DD.

I currently have that exact same watch and I had a TT Bluesy for a while, and owned both at the same time. Hands down I thought the Bluesy was more blingy and it got way more attention than my YG Green dial GMT.
I even would ask friends and colleagues and most where not watch people and thought the YG GMT was a cheap fashion watch but that the TT Bluesy was more expensive...go figure.

I always thought that TT is kind of 70ies - until I saw the TT SD43. From the very first moment I knew that I had to have it! It´s the incredible decadent combination of a diving tool watch being partially made of gold

I got more comments on my TT blue sub then I ever did on my solid gold DD.

I miss my DD. Sold it to put a bigger down to payment on a house.

I must admit it was a hard decision to lose the Bluesy.

The reality was I just wasn’t wearing it once I got the CHNR & couldn’t really justify 2 TT pieces especially if 1 was just sat in the box.

The rose gold on the CHNR is subtle not ‘bling’ like the yellow gold Bluesy & far more useable in everyday situations imho.

Its just a question of time ,you will one day buy a Blue TT Sub again .Personal experience .

I sold my 16613 in 2008 ,bought a 116613LB in 2018 from an AD and a 2007 16613 blue pre-owned in 2020 ,Its now one of my most worn watches .

Personally I have always been a fan of the all gold sub (blue dial), But a recent trip to the A.D. introduced me to the CHNR 2 tone.
I can’t say for sure if it is more bling, but I can tell you it was more aesthetically pleasing on the wrist.

To the degree that my wife wants me to get one, and she never wants me to buy a new watch. LOL!

My first Rolex was a 1994 TT Datejust, bought when I was wearing suits and ties in the office. Loved it, but nowadays a bit dated perhaps although in my view not at all blingy. Prices for these watches do seem to be creeping up though. My current favorite TT is the 16713 GMT II Root Beer, which I do think has more flash...
