The clasp on non-sports/professional references is the Oyster clasp (from the Oyster bracelet), not the Oysterlock. The Oysterlock folding safety clasp is what is found in sports/professional models and it includes what Rolex calls the safety catch, which is what you (and some internet sellers by the looks of it) incorrectly name fliplock. As per Rolex description in their brochure and user manual, the Fliplock is the 26mm diver extension. I managed to dig out a 2019 user manual from my SD43 showing the Fliplock, although I only have it in Spanish. This section has now been removed from the current user manual as Rolex no longer offers this 26mm diver extension. |

My RubberB and other straps are on a tang buckle. It’s a better look, IMO. Though, I do see the appeal. The tang fit is a little off at times.

@alphadweller.. well done, it's nice to learn things.
The Fliplock is the correct name for the dive extension links? I stand corrected. |

I know, right!?
I’m guilty as charged. I remember when I put a pretty good ding in the lug of my Sub years ago, I was upset. After years of wearing and many more, they don’t bother me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

They obviously did return the original clasp to me.

Well since my Ad wouldn’t sell me the clasp I ordered a rubber strap for my Tag Aqua-racer. I like how it came out, this was my first decent watch and it may see a lot more wrist time now.
