Oh wow... what a nightmare that must have been!!!
Glad it all worked out! Because that watch was a frankenstein for sure~ The older datejust diamond dials never had the bigger diamonds like that rather the smaller "square" diamonds etc... nonetheless glad you got a full refund!
In your decision on your newer purchase, I think the Hulk will be perfect as you already had the GMT-C and I read that you wanted a "flashier" watch~ So the Hulk will be a great choice, either that or a Datejust II with a blue dial... those look quite nice if you're still looking for some flash~ Nonetheless all great choices!

wow mike cant believe that, I think a lot of these guys made u feel bad about the watch, im sure the movement was real outside of the aftermarket dial and bezel.lota watches like these around, they take an older Dj throw a 200 dollar face and a 1k bezel and make that 1500 watch "worth" more!!! Glad you got something better.
Just as an added note a lot of the ss and 2 tone older dj these places put aftermarket 30.00 ss or fake 2 tone bracelets on and the original clasp to make it look new, but what u really got is a rolex case and movement with aftermarket crap...Be careful out there!!!
