Hmm...that's tough. For steel models, I think I would go Subc and ExpII. You get a time zone capability and a contrasting dial color with the EXP.

If we are talking about ANY 2 watches, however, I would probably go GMTc in 18k and WG Daytona.

I'll choose the sub and dj 36mm silver dial with sticks and jubilee because those are the two that I have.

In a perfect world-it would be 16600 SD( which I own) and a Patek Nautilus( which I'm saving up for)
Out of my current collection-GMT IIC and Pepsi 1675 on Jubilee
Bang on! I have the SD 16600 and am now after the Nautilus or the Aquanut...I am struggling emotionally to let my Bremont go, but if I have a Patek and an SD, the Bremont will struggle to get any wrist time.

In steel, it'd be:
Rolex GMT IIc
Omega Speedmaster Professional

If you open it up to titanium, there are some more interesting choices ...

Well I already have 2- 36mm Omega Seamaster and 214270 EXP I.
So that's not so fun...

My wife will get the Seamaster, so now things are interesting again!

What I would like is a watch with gold- either TT, solid YG, RG- either Daytona or GMT. Or a Patek. The 2nd watch would have to be the grail where I would cry when I bought it and be happy with it for the rest of time (only way to go). And the next time I get the urge to buy another watch, I'd look at this watch and realize I'd be done since it's so friggin' expensive. There are other things like mortgages, student loans, kids, saving up that I'd need to do anyway.

But if it had to be a SS watch?
SS Daytona... BUT I really do want one with a bit of gold on it to sex things up.

So it'll be a JLC Deep Sea Chronograph for me. It's a classy, sexy little thing.

This threads cranking along nicely.
some great choices out there,
I especially love the audemars piguet combo.
But think il stick with the datejust 11
as its dressier than the AP.
Keep the options coming.

I've changed my mind......one needs 3 watches....a Rolex DJ, Rolex sub & a H.U.R.T. watch
(high utility risk timepiece) such as a Casio G-shock!
For athletic endeavors & perhaps working around the house where one can fall of the roof, etc.

So i am looking to add a DSSD or Explorer II + Milgauss GV or Explorer II + SubC ND or (SubC ND or Explorer II and put the rest of the money in my portfolio). Will try the DSSD one more time before i scratch that idea, I have a small 6.25" wrist... or I might just save up a little longer, trade my PO for a SubC ND, and add a PP Aquanaut instead. After that, then I think I am done until my kids are done with college? Haha
Id get the Aqua.

Submariner and Datejust. I guess I agree with the majority here.

No, wait... Submariner and my Omega AquaTerra. My wife gave me the AT as a wedding gift, I could never part with it, and it fills the same role that a Datejust would.
