Any Two Watches Rolex Or Otherwise
Personally I think two good watches is the maximum il ever get.
Or for that matter the most an average person can expect to own. As life moves forward I cant see myself getting more than two. (ask my wife and it should only be one good one) Houses & cars for now. kids in the future etc will see a lack of disposable funds. So if you could only have two watches, in stainless what would they be? I already have a sub c so my next purchase will be a datejust 11. Then im done for a long time... What's everyone else's? Should be a fun thread |

Hmmm, only 2. It would have to be either a Sub and a DJ or a Sub and an Explorer I.

If I had to pare down my little collection of Rolex watches to only two, I'm certain that I'd keep the 14060M and the 116200-63600.
That ain't going to happen, though.

I think if you are going to only have two and have a sub c already a DJ or DJ II is a good addition.

16710 and JLC Reverso (either Classic or Tribute to 1931), man that's a hard decision... I really love my Speedmaster and Explorer I, but I figured I need a thin dress watch and the GMT function would probably be more useful to me than a chronograph and a non-date everyday watch.

Sub and datejust. I have the Hulk and a DJ myself; however, I went with the TT datejust.

Explorer II in 40mm is my "dress" watch. See signature for the rest.

How do you decide which to wear? I have a white Daytona and want a PP. The white nautilaus really pops with its blue hue. I love it. However, I feel like they are the same watch and may lean more towards the blue nautilus or aquanaut.

Only two? that's crazy talk.....ok, I'll play.
In a perfect world-it would be 16600 SD( which I own) and a Patek Nautilus( which I'm saving up for) Out of my current collection-GMT IIC and Pepsi 1675 on Jubilee |

Sub and Speedy Pro (and a cheeky Milgauss GV for the secret stash).

GMT 16710 and Daytona 6263... and with tree different bezel inserts for the GMT it would be like owning four watches....and you said nothing about bezel exchanges...

Tough choice. I know I can't do two especially just steel. Maybe my Patek 5711 and GMTIIc?

I am in the same boat as you. Have a 2 year old with another due in January. Living in NYC is quite expensive, especially with kids, parking, etc... Right now my daily beater since last year is an Omega PO8500 in 42. I have a budget of around 13k right now for a watch. So i am looking to add a DSSD or Explorer II + Milgauss GV or Explorer II + SubC ND or (SubC ND or Explorer II and put the rest of the money in my portfolio). Will try the DSSD one more time before i scratch that idea, I have a small 6.25" wrist... or I might just save up a little longer, trade my PO for a SubC ND, and add a PP Aquanaut instead. After that, then I think I am done until my kids are done with college? Haha

SubC/DJII combo is a great choice. Your story sounds just like me. I own an ExpII and DJII and love them both.
