FS: Rolex Milgauss Reference 1019 Black Dial from 1970 Full Set
Hi All,
I’m selling a Rolex Milgauss reference 1019 from 1970 with inner and outer boxes, manual and papers. Here are the details: Dial: near mint black dial with 1/2 second track, half-moon hour lume plots and faceted hour markers with painted centers. Hands are faceted style in excellent condition. All lume has aged to a beautiful creamy yellow hue. When exposed to UV light the hands and lume plots glow brightly and fall off rapidly as they should. Case: excellent 38mm case with serial number 2,6xx,xxx. Inside of the case back is dated II.70. Bracelet is a reference 78360 with 12 links and 580 end pieces in excellent condition. Movement: excellent Rolex caliber 1580 movement running well and keeping good time, service history is unknown. Other: watch comes as a full set with inner & outer boxes, manual and papers dated to 1976. Special Note: While authenticating this watch I determined that there wasn't conclusive evidence to do this definitively. Some sources thought the dial was a service dial and others thought that it was original. A likely scenario is that this is a transitional watch with older style hands and a newer style dial. Many people mentioned that this reference was known for anomalies. This is a Milgauss reference 1019 with a scarce black dial in great condition with box and papers. The Deal: My price is $32,500 with overnight shipping from Fedex and third-party insurance from Parcel Pro. Reasonable offers and trades are always welcome. I will accept payment via wire transfer only for this piece. You get a 3 day inspection period and may return the watch for any reason. You'll receive a full refund minus shipping and insurance costs. My name is Michael and I can be reached at 415.323.3938 or via email at info@sectordial.com. Face to face transactions in a secure location in the Union Square neighborhood of San Francisco are possible by appointment. Happy to provide references as needed. |
