I have the old and tried the new at my AD. I have to say that the new one is nice and I can't deny that it is an improvement. But the old one works just fine as well, no complaints there. Also the old one is a little smaller, to me it fits Daytona better but that may be cause I am used to the old one.

Most guys are going to like what they already have. From personal experiance owning both watches I can tell you that the GMT clasp Makes the Daytona feel like a bigger watch. I noticed no differance in feel in the comfort department whan I swapped the clasps. Since then I have changed back because the Daytona clasp on a GMT feels cheezie.....

I like the original one better, but to each their own.

I like the design of the old clasp very much. Have not tried the new clasp on Daytona so can't comment on the comfort.

i had the choice when i picked up a V serial--ad had both. compared em side by side and on my wrist. chose the old one. fits better, looks better, proportional to the size of the daytona. no regrets.

and in contrast to at7724, when I recently purchased my daytona, I had rolex exchange the entire watch so I can have the newer clasp, which i find more comfortable

I have both and like both.

I don't like the price increase for the new bracelet on the Daytona.

the old clasp can be more collectible in the future. that can be a plus for the old clasp.

Would seriously doubt it, the old Zenith powered Daytona then yes but the Rolex in-house movement would doubt it.
