Gold 1601 Grocery getter?? Info please?
What can you tell me about this one? Is it a collector watch? What would be a good dollar value on it? Do the dauphin hands and the dial make it more valuable or less valuable? I've seen where people have changed them out to more modern looking hands and dial to make the watch appear newer but with that being said, does that make this one more valuable because of the fact that their are less of them with the original stuff? I'm not too familiar with the "vintage" market. This one has me wondering.... Thanks!!

to me the style of the hands look older than the t swiss t dial. Also you need to take into consideration the state of the bracelet, is it stretched? Personally I don't think the watch has a great look.

Have to agree and the DJ is not regarded as a really collectable Rolex not like say the sports range.

Vintage champion or... "Old shoe"..?
It is not often that my opinion about a Rolex watch will be on the negative side. I am afraid that this watch falls into the "old shoe" category. |

Old shoes can get new soles & reconditioned leather - looks brand new.
Get the work done and I think you will be surprised. Nothing wrong with old (just ask my wife). |

No matter how many "face-lifts" you can get...you are still 105...
