14060 overpolished?

Hi!

I just bought a 14060 from 2000, but I keep having this question if the watch is overpolished. The reason is that the endlinks are sticking out higher than the case. When looking at other watches the endlinks usually lay lower than the case.

Can I have your opinion? Thanks!

It's something normal with hollow end links and nothing to do with polishing. Your watch guy can change the spring bars and bend the end link just a bit and that's it.

Can't really say much about polishing from that photo because of the reflections, but the end-link issue is unrelated to that as @FTX I indicated.

With time the the back of the endlinks bends, so the top of the endlinks rise up

Judging by the hole in the lug the watch doesn’t look overpolished...as people have stated that’s normal with hollow endlinks after some time

From the factory the corners of the endlink of a 14060 are bent down slightly. Yours have been shaped without that slight, but distinctive, "tuck" of the corners.

Your watch has not been ground down so far that the endlinks are standing above the case.

I think you are confused about spring bar protrusion from the sides of the case. You watch certainly doesnt have this issue. Looks like a nice piece, even if we are going off one photo.

As for the end links, what everyone else said. They can be easily shaped back into position. If you havent done this before ask your watch maker.

Where did he suggest it was a spring bar issue? He seems to know what end links are and mentioned only those.

id say take it to an independent. they can put different spring bars OR can bend the end links.

there should NOT be any gap or separation from the case and end links.....it can be addressed
