It’s a fun watch actually. I like different. I’m either in for the sub or SD43. My AD is already offering me when I am ready so feel I’m a good spot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

7" wrist is not large at all. Sub is the perfect size for you...unless you like large watches. I tried on the SD43 and it's not that comfortable compared to my Subs. Too heavy for the small surface area on the caseback. Also, 40mm GMT usually wears smaller than the 6 digit Subs because the lugs are thinner/more tapered.

Was so set on a Sub but now...
So I bought this Seiko to see if I liked the feel of a 42mm diver. There is no way I would be happy with a 40mm sub now. The SD43 is what I will be after next year!

Went from Sub to SD to now GMT jubilee and I think I’ve found “the one”. The Sub never really did it for me personally, unless it was the TT or the YG blue dial.

I would suggest you remeasure your wrist to verify it is 7 inches. Because there is no way a modern 6 digit Sub is too small. Mine is 7.5 inches and my Sub is about as perfect as it gets. Of course being solid YG it feels more substantial than a SS model which I have owned several of. Perhaps you should try on a solid YG or WG model and see what you think.

When I tried on a TT sub I didn’t feel it was small at all. But the SS seems so. My wrist is 7 inches... maybe that particular model just isn’t for my wrist! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Too small for me. That's why my diver is a Grand Seiko 44mm in titanium.

I went from Sub to SD43 and it was perfect on my 7.75 in wrist.

The lug to lug on the SKX is actually shorter than the submariner. It’s only 46mm whereas the sub is 48mm.
I mean, but what you want... but the sub is not too small on a 7 inch wrist.

I am surprised people say the sub is small
this is the Rolex age of the supercase these new subs are huge compared to recent ones of past I would get the regular sub - if thats not enough get the deep sea which is way bigger and thicker |

I started this thread about feeling the Sub was a little small for me. I had the opportunity to try on an SD43 the other day and felt it was slightly too big for me.
I tried on a Sub (TT) again for size and realized it is a good fit for me. I suppose that first day the size seemed small and it was next to a large watch I was wearing that day and the deeps I also tried on. My AD said they can likely allocate one of the next few they get in to me if I want it. I asked about reality of a Hulk and was told 2-3 years. wowza. No real reason for this post, cheers! |
