hello,
i am new to this forum but here is some experience i would like to share for those interested. scanning watch forums for the best available deals is something i am sure we all do, but i just want to re affirm that craig's list is full of ridiculous sellers waiting to take your money. this link (toronto craigs list) provides a regatta luminor for a cheap price. : http://toronto.en.craigslist.ca/bra/jwl/1032586725.html after clicking on it reading it. the pics seem authentic and the deal seems amazing. after inquiring i was told much about it and that the meeting would be set up./ Eventually after being lead on; the day scheduled to meet i was told that an emergency came up out of town. The seller would not be able to make the appointment and this of course angered me as the watch seems to be in excellent condition etc. the seller then sent me this message: Hi, Right now I am away with more business (occupied with a very important construction project). All i need from you right now is your name and shipping address, and i will forward these to The Online Outpost Agency, and they will contact you with al the informations you need to know about this deal regarding delivery, payment, etc. After that, you will have to send the payment to The Online Outpost agency. The payment will be forwarded to me only after you receive the item and confirm that you accept it. Everything is already packed, and ready to be delivered, they also offer a 10 day return policy, so if you're not satisfied you will get a full refund. Looking forward to hearing from you. note more pictures of a mint condition watch were included. anyway that is the most ridiculous thing i have ever heard and i told the user to go **** themselves. Anyway i dont suspect anyone would be stupid enough to actually fall for this scam . but just beware of craigs list and other such requests. thanks TRF users. |

I would not be surprised at all if multiple people were to take the deal and get scammed. Glad you did not! CL is dangerous...

craigslist is a good place to buy & sell used furniture and old ice-skates. but expensive swiss watches - not so good!
