I believe you can find a glass crystal for any 4d or 5d acrylic Rolex nowadays.

Google should confirm.

If watch has a original acrylic crystal then a sapphire will not fit different fittings and different case seals,although on the net some say it can be done, but myself would never recommend it, and there is nothing wrong with acrylic crystals.

And if you do find someone to 'do' it, the hands may bump up against the new crystal and the water resistance will be affected as the new crystal was not part of the original design.

And of course RSC will never touch it.

Guys, I’ve had an indy do it when I replaced an engine turned bezel to smooth one on an old DJ. It’s a popular mod and it passed the vacuum test.

The case is not intended for a sapphire crystal. The gasket will stick out, water resistance and the crystal are not secured!

Get another watch if you want a sapphire.

Understood. I always thought the 14000 and 14010 always used sapphire. But I guess that only goes for the M variants.
