First trip with the Snowflake

Took the Snowflake with me on a visit to NYC. Of course my wife thought I was crazy for bringing 5 straps plus the bracelet. Only wore 2 though!

Looking good. I can’t believe what these are worth today.

I just recently bought mine - wasn't looking to spend what I did, but I have no regrets! Just like my 16710, I feel like I can wear it anywhere and not be too concerned about it...plus it's just so comfortable!

I bought the Snowflake and the 16710 at opposite ends of the market (16710 at $3,650 with B&P back in 2010) and I'll say this - I'm of the mindset that if you want a Rolex / Tudor that's been discontinued, you might as well buy now because prices only go up. People always ask "is the 16710 overpriced, will prices come down, etc." IMO, if you want it, get it - you'll just stew about prices forever. Same goes with the Snowflake - now that the money's gone, I don't think about it or regret buying this piece at all; I just love it

I bought my first blue 7021 in 2011 on eBay. Au$1800 for the head. Arrived in Canada in a paper bubble envelope with no tracking or insurance. This was after I passed on two 9411s on 9315s for $800 in 1999. I thought the $1800 was too much then. Lol

Really cool watch! Love a blue SF
Nice to change it up! Bracelet is my preference. Steel works so well with blue

I also prefer the bracelet overall, but the strap from Veblenist is so soft and I must say, very good looking. Maybe I'm 55/45 bracelet...haha.

I like it. One of the few watches that looks as good on a strap as it does on a bracelet.

Yes, but imagine if you’d bought $395 worth of Apple stock in 1987. It would be worth $885,000 now...

Looks great on the strap. My 75090 (black face/bezel) says, "hello."

Yeah, but...that could be said about any one of us with loads of missed investment opportunities.

One person’s crazy is another watch collector’s ‘preparedness’

Lol
