Full Moon
The moon is one of the most difficult thing to capture with a digital camera, first you need a tripod and then you'll need to take at least two pictures if you want trees, buildings or anything else showing in the background/foreground. Then you'll need to set the camera to capture the moon correctly and then a second picture of the background/foreground with the appropriate settings and after all this - merge the two using photoshop where you see everything correctly.

Well done Al! Has a lot of atmosphere in its own right
The Dude is right, take one photo metering off the trees/ground etc, and a second metering off the moon itself. But, I kinda like what you've got there anyhow!

I love that shot!
I find that the moon by itself is very easy to capture. Probably the easiest shot ever. All the shots below were taken handheld, with a Nikon D50 and a 300mm lens.

You need to get as close as possible and it helps if you are a "Luna-tic"
