You must be new around here.

Rolex doesn't put pressure on them (indirectly they do). The shop puts pressure on themselves. As you elaborated, they will only get the hot models if they sell the slow moving models (DD platinum, RG, YG, DJ28 with stones etc.). Rolex decides if you'll even get a stainless steel professional on the next shipment if you've disappointed in sales. On top of that if you don't meet the sales performance, Rolex will just cut your license upon the annual renewal. It's that simple (which a lot of people don't get of WHY CANT I GET THIS WATCH WHEN IM GOING TO WEAR IT AND NOT SELL IT!(?))

If you compare a WIS to a casual buyer who just owns 1 or 2 watches, you know the WIS has more money in the bank account. If it's a grey vs wis vs casual buyer we know they choose the grey. It's business at the end of the day.

In you are spending money on jewelry you don’t want, to get a watch you don’t need, you deserve to be in this situation. Buy it Grey, spend 10k extra and be done with it.

if you just want the GMT and Daytona, it's actually cheaper to go grey. however if you like the PM models and intend to wear them, then it might not be a bad idea to build the relationship.

1. To have your own name on the warranty card.

2. To ensure you are buying the geniune article, and not a fake or stolen item.

3. To not have to worry about utilizing future warranty needs.

I don’t want to blow what little I’ve got going. Not a major market at all. Smaller than top 10 cities for sure.

Just talked to the AD I bought my rolexes from, he's in another country and 2 years ago I asked him for the Daytona. Yesterday he told me that they received few Daytonas but the management would only sell those to locals even if I suggested to buy more watches from him which I wouldn't have done anyway cos it's just stupid
