Has anybody seen the Seiko Prospex LX SNR033 GMT in person?

It's a beautiful watch!

But at its price (~$5000), its blurred the lines between Seiko and Grand Seiko. GS has a similar watch (SBGE201) for pretty close to the same price.

Thoughts?

I was able to try SNR033 on in Japan last week. It is a very nice watch but it just didn't feel like a $5000 watch to me. I also handled a SBGE201 and that watch looked/felt like it was worth the $5800, and then some.

Of all the LX models I like the SNR025J1 the best. But again, not at $5k. https://www.seikowatches.com/global-...ospex/snr025j1

I got to handle the 029 recently, really loved it and may add it down the line but wouldn't pay retail

Great watch but the bezel has no ratchet mechanism which was a deal killer for me.

I picked up the SNR035 and have not been able to get it off the wrist since. The no-click bezel did bother me at first, but with time and use I have come to appreciate it. The resistance it gives when turning is somehow quite satisfying.

Woah this is a cool watch. Are these widely available or JDM only?
