Rolex Pocket watch from The Lancastria Ship

Hello,

I was given a Rolex Military Pocket Watch many years ago from a friend in Canada who served in the merchant navy during the second world war. He acquired this watch during his service and he told me that it was issued to a member of the crew from the Lancastria ship that was sunk in 1940.

The watch looks identical to this one in the link has the arrow pointing up and letter B and the numbers 7738

I know nothing about watches but it may be of interest to someone on this group?

Regards

Gary
