Cannot find a leather band!

I had a thread about this about a year ago and I’m still looking for some guidance. I have a DJ 116234 and I can’t seem to find a good leather band for it. Everest makes rubber bands for the six digit DJs and leather for many other watches but not these. Does anyone have any idea why? I’ve emailed them and haven’t gotten a clear answer.

Also, does anyone have any recommendations for good bands besides Everest?

Thanks TRF, any advice helps!

Have you tried Bulang & Sons or crown & buckles?
I got straps for my gmt from both of them. Extremely happy with their products line, quality and support.

I like Holben's shell cordovan 20/18 straps. IMO shell cordovan holds up better than most other leathers to abrasion from the case as the lug holes of six-digit Rolexes are relatively closer to the case than five-digit models resulting in straps rubbing against the case.

Combat Straps will custom make you a strap made of anything you can imagine and tailored to fit you exactly. Check out their website and/or Instagram feed for some inspiration.

Ted Su makes good bands if you’re looking for a more vintage style.

Myron at roverhaven.com makes custom bands, and many examples can be seen on his website. He is always a pleasure to work with in creating what you want.

Didn’t Pearljam sing a song like that? She dreams in Batman, black and blue...can’t find a leather band...

Every strap for a 20mm lug size will fit your DJ and you can use "end links" if your really want to.

116200 on JLC curved end strap (by Camille Fournet if not wrong). No issue with strap rubbing against case if used with curved spring bar.

Hi all,

adding my pinch of salt here.
Check this out http://canotage-strap.com/en
Charles is a watch addict and he basically can make you a bespoke strap.
(I personally love his antique line with straps made out of sometime 100th years old leather which has an history and totally crazy patinas)
Cheers

Today you can pay real stupid money for straps but no better quality than the ones from
brands like Hirsch.

The Everest bands with the steel ends against the case that are being sold for the 6 series GMT/Daytona/Sub will work on the Datejust with the right springbars. I used mines on my sold Datejust 116200 and look really nice.

You may also buy the SS endlinks from various sellers and as said above hands from nice sellers like Hirsch and would look great too
