GMT Model #'s ????? Help!!
I need some help in finding out about the style numbers assigned by Rolex to SS GMT II's (pre-ceramic). As far as I can find out, this is how I believe it goes: 16710A = Black Dial with Red/Black Bezel; 16710B = Black Dial with Red/Blue (Pepsi) Bezel and 16710N = Black Dial with Black Bezel.
Can anybody confirm? Thanks |

The 16710 does not have a separate reference # because of the bezel insert. Hope that helps.

They have been using different letters in Europe and the States. The Pepsi in Europe is BLRO if i am right.

Hi Scott,
Sorry mate, I disagree. I have a 16710B and it is a Pepsi. I believe the letter designates the bezel. But hey, the experts will be here soon.

Everybody seems to have a slight difference of opinion on this issue. For those disbelievers out there, there is a code associated with the bezel that was issued at the factory, at least on the newer versions. I have attached the reference link indicating that there is, at least recently a letter code immediately frolowing the 16710 model # for the bezel. I have seen this on cards and the older style papers in the US. Mine is a Z series with a balck bezel and I can confirm it has a "N" following the number meaning black bezel as indicated in this reference link.
The question deals with the pepsi and coke bezels. This reference link confirms that pepsi from the factory is "B" and coke is "A" -- it could also mean that if a watch with pepsi bezel has an "A" then the bezel must have been changed since the watch left the Rolex factory?????? Don't know ifthe bezel is authentic Rolex, do we?? Link: http://www.rolexreferencepage.com/16710B/16710B.html Thanks, hope this helps |

this started since the introduction of new style (credit card) warranty card. I believe the older (paper) warranty only state 16710 and I believe all stamp on the case would only state 16710. |

Eddie, Allen & Scott: thanks, you guys have bascially confirmed what I have been asking. The Pepsi bezel model is 16710B and it is only marked on the papers or warranty card. It is not on the case back.
I have been looking for one and there are some out there that have been changed because of the demand for the Pepsi bezel and the papers and cards do not show the "B." They have either the "N" or "A" so this makes me wonder whether the bezel is authentic Rolex?? Thanks for the confirmation on the "B" for Pepsi Tim |

Mine is a Pepsi originally and no B anywhere on the case.
