The Rolex window shoppers club

I love peering into the window displays at the AD’s. I go by every Tuesday on my way to work and it’s never the same. It gives me a chance to see models that I usually don’t pay attention to. It’s also nice to window shop without any intention of buying, just enjoying viewing these fine watches.

Please post your neighborhood Rolex window display.

I love to window shop at thrift stores, and antique shops.

Not Rolex ADs for some reason

Omega ADs are more interesting than Rolex ADs.

When I stroll by the mall AD it's always nice to look but all of the good things are taken. I shouldn't care as I'm not in the market for another Rolex but I still cant help that empty and even angry feeling for some reason. I know there are also Tudors, IWC and Paneri inside but none of them are on my radar either. I could stop in to say hi but l'd just feel like I'm strokin'. This AD sold me a SubC 2 years ago but now I'm just a face in the crowd, glad I have a new one. If there were a VC store around then I'd be in trouble.. ..end of rant.

Maybe that's the case where you live but here they have a variety of different models, Ok, no SS models but I've seen some beautiful tt lately including a tt sub, tt Yachtmaster, PM sub, and PM Daytona...lots of DJ41 's as well

Same here at our mall ADs. My wife thinks I’m crazy because I always want walk by the windows whenever we’re in one of the malls. She says you look at the same watches every other day!! And even if they had a watch you wanted you wouldn’t buy it from them anyway.

Which of course she’s right we have a great AD whose been very good to us. So I would rather wait and be loyal to the people who treat us right.

But I’ll still look in every Rolex window anyway can’t help it. It’s a condition I suppose.

Most of the ADs I have been to have pretty good inventory. No SS Subs, GMTs or Daytonas out for display but a good array of everything else. Lots of PM and TT models. I suspect the SS sports lines are presold but the rest of the line is available for sale. Odd what is readily available nobody wants. Same movements, same quality. Best deal to me is the TT Daytona. At retail it is far cheaper than a used/resold SS Daytona with more interesting dial choices. Will be interesting to see the final numbers on watches for 2019. I think the overall market is soft and is being buttressed by the hot SS sports lines across the companies.
