Icon17 My First Incoming!

Just took my first step into the Tudor/Rolex world with this Black Bay Heritage 41. It’s not flashy, trendy, or meant to impress others but I LOVE it’s quite elegance and confidant simple design. Oh, and it keeps exceptional time too.

Even though it’s easy to obtain, I honestly like it as much as most hard to get models.

Full disclosure, I could have saved almost 1k on the cost of this watch by buying it online but I went with my AD to build a “relationship” and get my name on the list for a date sub. I’m looking forward getting that call but will by fully enjoying my new piece.

It looks great. Congrats. When something has classic style, it doesn't have to be flashy. :)

Hey man, it doesn’t have to be the flashiest or the most desirable sport model to be a good piece.

Hell, most of those desirable sport models are only desired by others because you can’t get them. If the floodgates opened up and all these watches were readily available most people probably wouldn’t even want them.

But as long as you enjoy it that’s really all that matters. Kudos on spending the extra dime to start the relationship building process instead of just walking in and complaining that you couldn’t get a date the first time.

In due time...

Huge congratulations, sometimes less is more, the simplicity of that watch makes it beautiful.

Wear it in good health and congratulations on your first.

Everyday that you wear it will be a slightly better day.

I have not met Brandon the few times I’ve gone in, or at least have not been introduced to a Brandon. I am just hoping I have purchased enough to get “the call” for my date sub.

When I went in yesterday to pick up this watch, they were having an event with what looked to be many of there regular customers where I saw another gentleman pick up a Hulk from them. He was nice enough to show it to me and talk watches for a bit. It was the first time I got to see it in person. Beautiful watch!

Anyways, nice chatting with someone on TRF who shops at my local AD too.

Definitely not. I don’t think of the sub as that type of watch or would try to use it in that manner. I’m purchasing the watch with money left to me by my deceased parents as “one last gift” from them that will be kept and passed down in my family as an heirloom piece from them.

I think the timeless design of the sub and it’s unbelievable durability make it a great watch for this.

Looks really good. I like your reasoning behind getting the watch. Be sure to pass it down to one who will appreciate the value of it
