Rough on watches
There’s nothing wrong with complimentary polishing offered by RSC that is done at regular service intervals (10 years), or professional polishing by 3rd party companies that have a reputation for exceptional work (Rolliworks, LAWatchworks, etc).
Watches that are professionally polished during service intervals end up aging fantastically like Padi aka Peter’s example. The issue with polishing becomes apparent when it is done too often or if the work is performed by someone of mediocre skill. We even have forum members that do a really good job with touching up minor scuffs but me personally would rather spend that time doing other things because it will be done at time of service anyway. |
