Jubilee Bracelet Confusion...

I'm confused to the difference between a "Junilee" and a "Super Jubilee" bracelet. Can someone enlighten me with pics and/or description?

The main difference is the Super Jubilee has solid center links and solid end links. The jubilee is also more prone to stretch.

I agree, Scott. The new Super Jubilee is a much more robust bracelet and with the solid links throughout, should minimise any stretch over time. I wear my TT DJ daily and the integrity of the bracelet and rigidity is excellent after 18 months of wear. Certainly, the hollow central links in the previous Jubilee bracelets, accelerate stretch and wear.

So, except for the hidden clasp, there's virtually no visible difference between the Super and Classic bracelet? The difference is behind the scenes so to speak.

The middle links on the Super Jubilee are highly polished, but I'm not sure whether they were on the Jubilee. Dan will know.

Solid end links on the super.
Brushed side links and polished center links on both.

Thanks, Neil.
Yes, solid [perminately attached] end links, solid [polished] center links, and milled hidden clasp are all indicative of the "super jubilee". Heavier and more substantial feel with all the comfort of the original.

I have a similar question - I have the new super-jubilee bracelet, so the solid links are familiar to me. But, what do people mean when they say solid "end links"? Are those the two links that attach to the lugs which have springbars running through them?

Yes, vs the stamped end pieces found on the classic.

Dan, you nailed it .

The Super Jubilee and Jubilee have, I think, the most comfortable fit of all the bracelets - it's so articulate and, I think anyway, is very under rated, in preference to the oyster version.

Well, the solid end links are a definite improvement on the stamped version in Dan's photo - by a long mile

Neil,
I love both depending on the watch but the GMT/ jubilee combo is such an iconic design. Classic and instantly recognisable.

Paul

You can still stretch out any bracelet by wearing it too loose and failure to observe a regular cleaning regiment.

I definitely like the looks of a PEPSI on a jubilee bracelet. And also wonder where you can buy one? Maybe Steve Mulholland or Tempoking???

Jon,
Rolex USA will not sell a bracelet outright and will only sell you a new one of the same type. But you have to give up your original bracelet. The super jubilee occasionally comes up for sale on watch forums but not often. You really have to watch closely. Some were for sale here on TRF and selling for around $1100.00.
