Pepsi insert question

Hello TRF ,
I’ve heard there has been multiple bezels for the Pepsi to correct the red. I was wondering if this was true , I’ve heard 3! If anyone would kindly enlighten me with why and when I am very interested.
Thanks

I don't know if it's true but I was fortunate to have the choice between the Pepsi and BLNR and to me the Pepsi red has a pink tint and the blue purple so when seeing them side by side I choose Batman the black and blue are perfect and make more sense when representing day and night. Maybe it should be called the Pepsi Lite.

There have actually been some pretty good threads on this over the last year, including some with side-by-side pictures. I’d try using the search function and type in something like “Pepsi MK.” I don’t have any of the links saved, but it will get you your answer quicker I think than waiting and hoping some of those same people happen to see this post.

I have never even seen one Pepsi in person, let alone several from different time periods, so I’m not sure I’d be qualified to answer your question definitively. However, the consensus from those threads seems to be “yes the colors have darkened as time has passed since the original release.”

The only color insert that has been consistent, going back decades, has been the black bezel insert.

Every new production run of inserts seems to have been slightly different, from color, to font size, to the font itself.

This is nothing new, and certainly not a controversy.

My friend has 1 and we compared ours side by side. There is a distinguishable difference. wish I got a pic. So there are at least 2.
