It finally came in!

I have been collecting Titanic memorabilia for quite some time and when Romain Jerome announced the release of Titanic-DNA watches with metal from the RMS Titanic, my two passions crossed. The brand offered numerous models, starting around $10k - but my obsession with watches made me go for the Holy Grail - the Titanic-DNA Tourbillon in rust/pink gold, only limited to 9 pieces worldwide. I was able to source one - but at that moment my financial situation did not allow me to keep it, so I ended up selling it, regretfully. Now this one has just graced my presence and I ain't lettin' go! Enjoy the pics!

Nice photos, Greg
I take it, that the bezel is the part that came from the Titanic?

Yes - that is correct!
"Harland and Wolff Heavy Industries Limited, having witnessed and audited the process, hereby confirm the amalgamation of modern shipbuilding plate Grade A with the component of the original steel from Harland and Wolff vessel number 401 "RMS Titanic", as authenticated by a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales." (from the included certificate of compliance).

Thanks man!

I am torn - my rational side is telling me that I shouldn't keep a watch that is worth more than my car.... But then on the other hand....

So, if you scratch the bezel, can you get it replaced?

Congrats mosco. You sound very happy!

Thanks! I am a professional watch dealer, so I guess I had to learn - we sell online, so pics have to be good!

Sad truth of the matter is - our economic conditions did not allow me to keep a six-figure watch see this thread http://rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=68691

but there are more important things in life - lihe the twins my wife and I are expecting in 3 months, so looking at the big picture - it was worth it!

I replaced it with a much less pricier T-Oxy II chronograph - same size case, but not a tourbillon. But I will always have the memories....
