FS: Patek Philippe 5196R Calatrava 2019 Rose Gold 37mm

Hi all,

My watch collecting in 2019 got a little bit out of control, and I have close to 30 watches right now, which is ridiculous. Since there's no way to wear that many watches with any sort of regularity, I've decided to consolidate my collection and focus on pieces that I know will get wrist time.

I’m selling my Patek Philippe 5196R that I bought from an AD in September of 2019. It is a full set, including all boxes (I even have the cardboard box that the box came in) and papers. I’m very torn on selling this, as it’s a gorgeous watch (and I’m absolutely not going to get anywhere near my money back), but when I wear a dress watch, I nearly always reach for my 5170P over this, so it just doesn’t make sense to keep it around.

I’ve probably worn the watch five or fewer times and never for more than a few hours. It has some really, really light hairline scratches on the polished parts and clasp, but that’s it, and they’re so light, they barely are worth mentioning. I think many would list this watch as LNIB, but as I have worn it and there are some very small signs of that, I’d say that “mint” is a more than fair descriptor and, if anything, rates the watch as being in worse condition than it actually is. The caseback sticker is even still intact. It’s also worth mentioning that my AD put an extra hole in the strap for me because my wrist is on the smaller side.

I’m asking $17,500. It’s hard to price these, as they’ve been in production for over 15 years, and they seem to be anywhere from $15k to $20k. This is a very recent example and is basically new, and I think splitting the difference between those two numbers makes for a very fair price. I'm a reasonable person and am always open to a fair discussion about price, but please don't waste your time or mine with crazy lowball offers.

I've sold watches on the forum before and am a reputable seller. Here are some links to feedback I've received previously:

I’m more than happy to send more pictures or answer additional questions. You can reach me via PM or by email at t3fwatches@gmail.com.

Thanks!
